Report on Past Happenings
Jan 1, 2008 The New year’s ride was scheduled. This ride was described in the last newsletter and is posted on the SoCal web site.
Feb 3, 2008 No ride was held. The meeting at the Graber’s house was not attended and the planning for borrego went on as scheduled.
March 5 – 8 The Borrego Springs National Road run was very well attended and almost all had a great time. There was one collision of an old bike with a rock in the road. The 69
BMW was totaled but the rider and the passenger got out alive and minimally hurt. Both are recovering at home and will ride again.
March 10, 2008 Hobo showed up at the Graber house and assisted in a complete cleaning and inventory of club items stored in the container in the driveway. “Wow, people have no idea of the amount of
stuff you take care of for the club”.
March 15, 2008 (more or less) All of the accounting and reports for Borrego are completed. The club made a profit of around $500 from the event which will be used to pay for newsletters and web site activities.
